The origins of Brumisateur evian® (evian® mist)

Born in the heart of the French Alps and filtered for over 15 years in glacial rock, evian® natural mineral water gushes untouched from its source in Evian-Les-Bains.

HISTORY IN A PSHIIIT ...

In 1789, the Marquis de Lessert discovered evian natural mineral water in the town of Évian-les-Bains. While out walking, he became thirsty and drank from a spring that turned out to be much more than an ordinary spring. The Marquis found the water so "light and pleasant in the mouth" that he began to drink it regularly.

In 1806, Evian® began offering thermal cures directly from the spring. Evian® water was used both as a beverage and in the baths of those taking the waters, and quickly became a great success.

1962 - The first evian® Brumisateur

The first evian® Brumisateur® appeared in hospitals for therapeutic use in dermatology, in particular to treat burn victims.

It was designed by two pharmacists who created an atomizer capable of spraying millions of micro-droplets of evian® natural mineral water onto diseased areas of skin.

1980

First change of shape for the Brumisateur® bottle since its creation

Then, in 1987, came the second design change ( right ). This would be used for the next two decades.

2007

Sensual curves and refined design for a unique experience.

This new bottle, combining elegance and innovation, has seduced with its aesthetics and ergonomics. An exceptional creation, it won the prestigious Silver Award at the Packaging Oscars.

2008

Launch of "fashion" limited series.
